Who We Are

The Alani Rescue ODV Association (originally founded as a non-profit organization in June 2011) is rooted in the passion of a group of volunteers united by a deep love for the Great Dane and its ilk. The decision to establish a formal association was made to ensure maximum transparency for supporters and to have the legal tools necessary to protect abused dogs, communicate with authorities, and manage seizures and recoveries in the area. Since March 2026, the association has officially been Alani Rescue ODV.

📋 What We Do: Our Pillars

* Rescue and Recovery: We collaborate directly with kennels to recover locked-up dogs and intervene in cases of abuse or seizure.
* Abandonment Prevention: We help families who, for serious reasons, are forced to part with their dogs. We find them a new home before they have to endure the trauma of a kennel.
* Conscious Adoptions: We guide you in choosing the ideal companion thanks to the support of breeders, behaviorists and breed lovers on the team.
* Post-Foster Care Support: We won't leave you alone. We guarantee new families constant support during the delicate transition phase.
* Total Transparency: Every donation to our dedicated bank account is accurately recorded. Our accounts are made public at the end of each fiscal year.

Despite their imposing size, Great Danes are extremely sensitive and delicate creatures.

* Apartment Life: The Great Dane doesn't need huge spaces. He can become tiny and almost invisible just to be by his two-legged friend's side.
* Adult and senior dogs: Adopting an older Great Dane can be even easier than adopting a puppy. A mature dog is a wise, calm, and wonderful companion.
